Her Diamonds

Whew, just finished work. Today is the first day of Fair so it's busy as heck and my legs kinda hurt =[ and I'm only relief [which means I give the people at Skatterball/Pool/Pop-Gun breaks]... 2 more weeks of insanity [and summer break]!

It's been pretty busy for me lately, and I've been neglecting my blog again...

Corinne came with my family to the Okanagan for a week or so, and Jaimie and her family came up too. We didn't do so much there; I expected it to be so much hotter than it was, and rather it was kinda sunny with a bunch of clouds [still got pretty dark though, not that I need to be any tanner -.-]. Penticton channel was fun. We did that twice and the second time down the river was only me and Corinne, since everyone else was too sunburnt to come. It was really nice and warm and relaxing at first cuz the sun was out and it was so nice and then 10 minutes down the stream the clouds blew in and freakin the WIND was killing me. I caught a nasty cold from that. Went home on the 14th feeling super tired and dizzy [I thought it was from the trip home].

The next day I was sick as hell. I'm sure you guys wouldn't want me to go into details so I won't =]

Then the next day I got better! And went out with my mom downtown to buy my dress for Artona [and possibly the Winter Gala too if I don't find anything else I like]. It's a simple strapless dress; black on the top, and red and dark purple patterns at the bottom. When I first saw it on the rack inside BCBG, it really didn't appeal to me but with my mom's constant nagging I tried it on. And guess what, I liked it. It fit me wonderfully, and cinched at the waist at the perfect spot. Originally it has a straight neckline, but I think I will have my mom alter it and make it a sweetheart neckline =] Now for shoes..

On Monday, I had grass vball with Steph. We came in 2nd in our pool and will be moving up a pool for our playoffs tomorrow. Hopefully we will do well!

On Tuesday I went rock climbing with Bowen, Elysia, Keith, and Norman. We went to Cliffhanger in Coquitlam. I love rock climbing, but I am so weak that I get tired by the time I've climbed 3 walls. Maybe it was cuz I was still a little sick and with a major headache, but I'm not going to make any excuses =P

I had grass vball playoffs with Will on Wednesday. We came in 2nd when we should have been first and our loss in the last game was my fault =[ It is painful to think about. And my arms + shoulders were still in pain from rock-climbing. That wasn't really a great idea...

On Thursday I met Corinne's beaaautiful new puppy, Mika the wire-haired Dachshund/Chihuahua/Boston Terrier/English Pitbull. I LOVE HER. [Sorry Milo, still love you to bits!] I can honestly say that she is the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life. She was so cute that I decided that one day soon I am going to go out and buy a puppy and come home and hope that my parents won't make me give it back.

I went to see District 9 yesterday and it was really gory... I didn't think it was that a bad movie since it was kind of interesting, but it was so disgusting I had to look away at a lot of parts.

Tomorrow, I have a vball4cash tournament with Will at Confed Park. Hopefully I can redeem myself after that horrible game on Wednesday =]

I Am The Walrus

Back from my hectic week, missed me? =]

→ The carwash went really good, we raised over 400 dollars! A great start to our year, good job everyone. Bowen, that bruise you gave me by whipping me with the shammy is still there. Thanks.

→ The wedding was also pretty fun; but it was in the middle of nowhere (well, lots of fields) in Pitt Meadows. I spent the whole time playing Stella Ella Ola and Thumb War with my niece and nephew -.-

→ Corinne came over in the morning and we watched Mamma Mia (not really as good a movie as my parents said it was, so cheesy and happy I almost wanted to throw up. Sorry.) and then after lunch we headed over downtown to Colleen's condo. Me and Milo had our usual happy reunion which ended up with him peeing himself in his excitement (as always). Headed to Cookworks with Colleen where she spent more than an hour looking for stuff... and spent over 2 grand. On COOKING SUPPLIES.

→ Monday morning I was awakened at 9 AM (after going to bed at 4 AM... PS3 and watching 17 Again) (Zac Efron!) (can't blame us) by Milo jumping on the bed and licking my face. We couldn't really go out, the maintenance guy was coming over to fix the dishwasher, and Cookworks was coming to deliver the shitload of stuff Colleen bought. Then I had volleyball at 6 and me and Steph got our ass kicked =] Back to the lowest pool, this time it IS our fault HAHA. Went to Wal-Mart after with Colleen, then to Corinne's house where they were moving some files on her computer... finally went back downtown around 12:30. I was dead tired, but me and Corinne went down to the pool. PS3 again after, and then Confessions of a Shopaholic, except this time we both fell asleep in the middle of it =P

→ Tuesday we woke up late again (well Corinne did) (I was up at 9 again, thanks to the dog), went to walk Milo, then headed to Steamrollers for lunch. I bought a peppermint facemask from Lush, and a tank top from Urban Outfitters. We went out for dinner at the Italian Kitchen that evening, and I thought it was a really nice place. There was really good service and the food was good too. Took Milo to the doggy park after, then they dropped me off at home.

→ Canada Day! Hehe vballs was fun, yeah?

→ Summer school wasn't too bad at all, the stuff is a little confusing but I've never been so great with graphing anyway. In a class with Corinne, Siena, Abby and Elysia - it's gonna be gooood =]

So, if I haven't entirely bored you to tears with that big-ass update, I'll proceed to tell you about what I've been up to the past few days!

→ On Thursday after summer school, I went to a bbq at my cousin's house. It was pretty fun, I played 4 man pepper the whole time with my cousin's fiance and my niece and nephew.

→ And then we went to the night market on Friday, where my dad was in a bitchass mood (again). The food was really good! The stuff they were selling... not so much. =P

What a post. If you actually read through all this, I'll give you a prize.

Bret, You've Got It Going On

Report cards today. Didn't do so hot, parents aren't too pleased... but I'll make up for it in Grade 12, promise! (that's what I say every year, but really next year I'll try harder!) (yeah right, with all those science courses I'll definitely do SO much better...). Corinne came over afterwards and we watched Mamma Mia (so cheesy. Not so great of a movie) and then streamed Flight of the Conchords on the internet. LOVE them. Then we went to Keith's house... Twister was fun :) Pizza = tres yummy. Everything else... not so much. Kinda glad me and Corinne left early from what I heard happened afterward.

Volleyball was cancelled yesterday due to the rain that turned into sunshine, but I had fun nonetheless ;) Though definitely looking forward to Monday so I get to play again. Steph, we really gotta step up our game this week!

Plans this week:
Tomorrow -- working at Big Bang 12-8
Saturday -- Grad Council Carwash 10-3, Gary/Kathleen's wedding 5:30
Sunday -- moving into Corinne's sister apartment
Monday -- still with Corinne, volleyball with Steph 6-9
Tuesday -- hanging with Corinne still?
Wednesday -- volleyball with Will 6-9
Thursday -- first day of summer school, noooo :'(

Busy busy busy...

Two Way Monologue

Went downtown with Bowen today and finally got the gladiator sandals I wanted, yay! But I feel like I didn't spend enough money... should have gotten that evergreen v-neck from American Apparel, too. And that purse from H&M. We wasted too much time at Dutil. And even more time trying to find it. Huge sale, but kind of a disappointment... It's summer, who wants to wear raws in 35 degrees?

So glad school is finally done. My socials provincial went alright yesterday - I struggled a little with the government and law questions, but hopefully I made up for it with the essay section. Then went to Metro with Abby and Natasha.

Work tomorrow... I hate Playland I hate Playland I hate Playland. I hate Jumpshot.

My Hands Are Shaking

Happy belated birthday Daddy! <3

Yesterday I wrote my chemistry exam, which was surprisingly a lot easier than I thought it would be! It was just really really long... I don't think 2 hours was enough to really do spectacular on it, but thank God that's over. Socials on Friday, and I still haven't started studying for that.... goodness.

After my exam yesterday, I came home and played guitar till like.. 5ish, then Corinne came over and we watched the BEST. MOVIE. EVER. Across the Universe. Oh my God. I love the Beatles so much more than I already do after watching this. Definitely kicks Dirty Dancing 1982 off the top of my list. Especially because it's a musical too. (Cheesy, I know, but I love them) (you know you do too)

It was also my dad's birthday, and we had cake and some of my relatives came over and brought Buddy, their half-Pomeranian half-Something Else puppy which me and Corny played with. He had so much damn fur I wanted to give him a trim.

I had a pretty eventful day today compared to the rest of my week. DROVE to school to find Mrs. McChesney (no such luck), DROVE to Lougheed to find a pair of nice gladiator sandals (no such luck... although I did get a summer dress from AE for 20 bucks!), then DROVE home. I feel very accomplished.

Grass volleyball at Tupper afterwards. Didn't play so great today, but we didn't finish up with horrible results =] Lost our first game (which we shouldn't have... but it's okay since we were just warming up, right Will?) but then we carried on to beat the second 2 teams. Although we didn't win by as much as we should have. Oh well, blame it on the wind. I really hate playing when it's so hot and bright and sunny out... I can't see (no sunglasses because they fall off my face) and I get a huge headache and really tired really quick. I feel like I play better game in indoor, even though the grass net is super droopy. I should be killing the ball, but the wind really screws me up and my timing is kinda messy sometimes. Kristen, you own. Show me how?

Getting late and I'm pretty tired.
Peace out.

8 Days A Week

French over and done with. Forever. The exam was a lot easier than I thought it'd be, but there were a few questions that had me stumped. Why did we get so much passe compose vs. imparfait review sheets when that section of the final was only worth like 6 marks?

Chemistry tomorrow..... oh my God.
100 multiple choice........ oh my God.
20% of 3rd term............. oh my God.

I should get back to studying now.
