One Man Wrecking Machine

I must say, I had a pretty good weekend. On Saturday I had the volleyball playday (can't really call it a tournament since there were only 3 other teams besides mine that were there) at McNair in Richmond. It went pretty good for a first tourney I suppose, but there are tons of things that I have to work on... passing, for example. My main problem. I was pretty decent at it last club and school season, but somehow I don't seem to be really too great at it anymore... Maybe it's just my team. Everyone on Apex is crazy at passing and digging. Which makes sense, since Apex is the one of the shortest teams out there and we're all Asian. And plus I play power, and passing/digging is our main job. Screw my goofy approach, I need to work on passing or I won't get any playing time :( I should start trying harder at practice. I should also try going to ALL the practices... but this Wednesday the fashion show is at the exact same time as practice is. Blah. Maybe I'll go since we have a Super Series on the 14th and that's pretty important... but then there's the Friday practice. So I'll be good. I think.

Sunday was the snow club trip! It was so much fun, I finally learned how to do S-turns. Okay so the day started out like this. Arrived at Whistler at about 8 in the morning, and me and Anthony decided to try out Beginners since we were both afraid we forgot everything. The instructor (an Asian Australian named Lincoln) took us on the tiny tiny slope that's not even the bunny hill and we reviewed on heel edge (I fell a few times doing that), and once we all got the hang of it we went down the bunny hill. Then we learned toe edge on the tiny slope. I was horrible at this - I fell backwards down the hill and pulled a muscle in my neck. It still hurts :( But then we got the hang of that too, and after lunch we learned how to carve and did a few runs down the bunny hill :) So yeah I'm really happy and excited to go again because now I can actually say I can snowboard! Hehe. Only 19 days away till the next trip!

Anyways. Today was a pretty good day. Did a new section in chem, had a socials test on 3 chapters that I didn't exactly study for since I forgot my textbook at school... but I found it pretty easy anyway. Then french crossgrades after lunch that I didn't prepare for either, but I got lucky and didn't get picked so I'm going on Wednesday. Mentorship was boring as always, so boring in fact that me and Simone decided to try and remember our class schedules of grade 8, 9, and 10. It was hard but we did it :P

Weeee a super long post!
